Margaret Ann Edwards , DVM
Dr Edwards (formally known as Dr. Margaret A.E. Powell) has been a practice owner since 1990. She built and opened her second practice, "Wellington Animal Hospital" in 1998. A native of Raleigh and mother of two children Andy and Ashley. She also lives with Sammy, Lani, Chip, and Spenser four wonderful shelties. In her spare time she works with her dogs in obedience and agility. She also has two cats Pancake and Syrup. She works at balancing her time between her busy veterinary practice and an active family life.
Kristin DeAngelo , DVM
Dr. DeAngelo was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. After graduating from veterinary school, she moved to Columbus, Ohio and worked at a veterinary practice for 3 years while her husband Sam completed his dental residency in Columbus. They moved back to this area in July of 2006 and Dr. DeAngelo started as an Associate at Wellington Animal Hospital. She and her husband are extremely excited to be back in the triangle. Dr DeAngelo gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in February 2008 who's name is Brady Thomas. She also has a greyhound named Dash who keeps them busy! When not at work, Dr. DeAngelo enjoys running, rollerblading and scrap-booking. She also is a member of the Triangle Greyhound Association.
Ashley Peterson , DVM
Dr. Peterson was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. She moved to Charlotte, NC at the age of 11. After graduating from NC State Veterinary School she worked at a practice in Charlotte for over 6 years. Dr. Peterson and her family moved to Cary, NC in 1999 and she became an associate at Wellington Animal Hospital. She has four children Rebekah, Benjamin, Jonathan, and Kathryn. She also has Summer an English Setter and and Mars her cat. She has a very busy life keeping up with her four children, working here at the hospital and supporting her husband Doug who is a Presbyterian Minister at a local church.
Laurie Buche , DVM
Dr. Buche was born and raised in Enfield, Connecticut. After graduating from veterinary school she worked in a veterinary practice in Dale City, Virginia for 4 years. Then she moved to Rhode Island where she worked at a practice in Warwick for the next 6 years. Dr. Buche and her family relocated to Apex, North Carolina in 2002, when her husband joined the faculty at NCSU. She and her husband Bob have 2 children, Alex and Jennifer. She also has Speck, an Australian Shepherd, who she trains and competes with in agility and Nikki, an domestic longhair cat. In her free time she enjoys jogging, weight training, and swimming.

Angelina joined our staff at Wellington Animal Hospital in March 1999. She has a wonderful way of sensing the needs of animals. She and our other animal care staff members work very hard to make each and every pet feel at home while staying with us.
